Me
My name is Erich (yes, with an H) Boettcher and I live in Sherman Oaks, CA. I’m married and I love it. There are many Eric’s in this world, many Eric’s who are like me, but there is only one Eric with an H, and that’s me.
I have no Anterior Cruciate Ligaments in either of my knees. To this day, I have no limits as to what my legs can accomplish. My name is Erich Boettcher and I’m lucky to have found love. To this day, my love for Cindy is unbreakable. am an only child with an extended multi-cultural family. To this day, my love for them is stronger than ever. I was raised by my hardworking father who collects sand from around the world, and my dearly departed Opa who stormed the beaches of Normandy during WWII.
Living with these two was the golden age of my childhood. That is a time I will greatly miss.
When not surrounded by such masculinity, I would spend my summers visiting my mother in Georgia. During the course of these hot southern days, I would indulge my creativity by connecting with my Mother’s co-workers and learning about their plight. Georgia was so foreign to me, yet little did I know the effect it would have on me years later. Whether it was my want to slay at summer camp’s capture-the-flag, or my want to re-create movies shot-by-shot with my family, or rather my many attempts at finding summer love in the midst of all that Georgia goodness.
These childhood memories over the years helped mold me into the humble man I am today.
Taking what I learned as a child, I then harnessed that powerful energy towards my studies. I graduated from Georgia State University with a BFA in Film and an MFA in Screenwriting at Florida State University. It was here that I learned the importance of story as it pertains to life and fiction. I believe that every life has a story and every story has a life. I write stories to tell others they’re not alone. I write stories to tell others they need not be afraid.
My name is Eric (yes, with an H) Boettcher and I am forever a storyteller and forever a voiceover artist.
